How to pick the right products for your online business

Hello Everyone,
Let me start by hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend and enjoys it by relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

I will get started here by telling you that the products that you plan to sell will need to be carefully researched, selected and marketed.
By considering a number of important key points, it will be possible for you to achieve a steady and continual income for your new online business.

1. The products that you choose will be the defining factor whether your online business will succeed or fail.
No matter how cheaply you may be able to source items, you will need to be sure that there will be enough demand for you to receive a steady flow of customer and orders.
The Drop Shipping process does provide you with scope for experimentation in this area.
For example, you will not be left with a box of dancing Snowmen and Reindeer’s sitting in your garage in January.
However, you will still incur marketing, advertising and storage costs for each of your unsold products.
By finding an untapped niche market for a product is always invaluable, but you must always be confident of your sales stategies.

2. Once you have determined that a product has sufficient demand, you should next ensure that it has enough of a profit margin.
This is the difference between your sales price and your purchase cost, minus your additional costs of advertising and marketing.
The first challenge is to find good value products from a number of US Drop Ship companies or manufactures.
A wise retailer will realize that the foundations for a good profit margin are laid when you buy at the right price and can sell with a decent profit margin.

3. With great value, high demand products sourced from a reliable supplier, your next decision is to choose the best method of selling. The two main opportunities for making sales on the internet are from your own online store or from auction sites such as Auction.com and ebay. These are two very different mediums and need to be approached in different ways.

4. Once you have decided where you will sell your products, you will need to concentrate on setting your prices.
You will find that your selling price may need to vary depending on where you plan to sell.
Your price must at least cover the cost of your purchase plus marketing and advertising costs.
For example, these could be the cost of web hosting or auction listing fees.
You then have the crucial decision of how much profit margin to add on top. This will depend on multiple factors, such as levels of demand and competition.
Always keep in mind that raising your sales price will increase your profit margin, but this needs to be finely balanced with the loss of potential sales through over pricing.
Remember, the most important point is to make sales, and profit margins of only a few dollars is common.

How to save big money on drop shippers fees

“How to save big money on drop shippers fees”

This interesting fact has been stuck in my head all day so I am going to share it with my internet friends.

It is very important to help others and give them quality information that they can use.

Well here it is, as everyone ones know I have been using around 100 different drop shippers for years now and have applied my own little twist when it comes to drop shipping fees.

Lets take an example of a company that I use that charges a $5.00 drop ship fee per order sent in to them.

What I will do is if I am selling alot of there products I will wait every few day and send in only ONE order to them and they will only charge on fee.

You see if I sent 5 orders in seperatly they would charge me $25.00 in drop ship fees, now if I send in one order with 5 different products they will only charge me $5.00 drop ship fee.

Saving me $20.00, now that can save you alot of money in a years time if you sell alot of there products online.

Now you see how important this is to use on certain drop shippers?
Keep in mind not all drop shippers will honor this but it is always worth the try as it works alot for me.

Another note here is that most companies do charge a fee for shipping the product for you and a reasonable fee is usually 3-5 dollars per order, NOT PER ITEM!

If a company tries to charge you fees per item, then you should seriously think about not doing business with them as that is unacceptable with most ecommerce business and not to mention cuts into your profits.

And always try your best to work it out with the companies and maybe come to a conclusion on what is a reasonable fee.

How to Find The Best Dropshipping Companies?

How to Find The Best Dropshipping Companies?

You can start by looking online for wholesale drop shippers, but I do not recommend it in the beginning.

Personally I have never used companies like DOBA and World Wide Brands and the likes, I drop the middle man and go straight for the source.

Decide what type of products that you are wanting to sell and then find large trade shows and/or conventions around your area and plan on attending them.

Alot of times I actually drive or fly to a show and stay for a few days when they are having a show to give me time to meet of them and discuss there products and policies.

Always take business cards with you as most companies will not even talk to you until you give them a card, and make sure your card is professional quality, not printed from your computer at home, that looks cheesy…

Ask them if they drop ship there products first thing after giving them your business card so you don’t waste there time and yours, get one of there catalogs, they may or may not drop ship now but they may later and the catalog will come in handy, even it you use it for ideas for another product niche’ .

You must work fast because some of these shows are massive so you want to use your time efficiently.

Gift marts in Atlanta and Texas are great sources for a large variety of importers and wholesellers who drop ship there products for you.

Below is a good mart to attend.

HINT: they also have a LARGE directory of companies if you look real hard.
